I Am So Proud of You!

If you are looking for information about the Christ Centered Singles Dance fof June 17, 2006, see Shall We Dance Part 1, 2 and 2 1/2 (scroll down).

But I want to take a moment and thank those who have been a little bit vocal (in a respectful way) about the upcoming dance. Some have talked to those who make these decisions, some have emailed them. Some have posted on the blogs (look at the posts on my last blog...even a new post-er:-) :-)), but not many, and I would like to take a moment to tell you how to do that, in case you have never posted on a blog before.

HOW TO POST ON A BLOG

If you decide you ever want to post on a blog, go to the bottom of the little story of the day and there will some words like:

posted by angela at 9:18 PM 3 comments

To post a comment, just click on the COMMENTS (it probably will have a number in front of the word "comments".

A little screen will pop up with the things people have said about that particular little story (blog).

At the bottom of those, there is a box that says LEAVE YOUR COMMENTS....it may be up on the side. Type your comment there.

Choose your identity...if you are a blogger, pick that one.

If not and you want to leave your name, pick "other".

If you want to be anonymous, that's OK too, but I could just sit here and type anonymous comments :-), so it's better if you sign your name. If it gives you a big hassle, just choose anonymous, but sign your name in the box with your comment. That will work, too.

Then where it says word verification...with some strange looking letters. Retype those in the box. (I think that keeps spam out or something)

Then push Login and Publish.

That's it!

Now you can post on Rick's blog, James's blog, Chris's blog, Kenny's blog, this blog...don't you feel empowered?

In fact, you could

post about the dance on this blog, or Ken's...

then go to Rick's blog and read his latest post, which I found very interesting (I had no idea there was so much going on), and post on that...

go to James's blog and read the current blog or look at some others on his...

and go to look at Chris's blog...

and post on ALL of them. It's good practice for you.:-)

And I want you to feel empowered, because if you feel any which way about this dance issue, you should respectfully say how you feel. How will those guys know how we feel if we don't tell them?

Remember, you can always email them, too...or call...or snail mail. Or a note under their door at church...or in the offering plate.

Now you have been equipped, so get busy!:-)
